About Thrive Pediatric Wellness

We provide family-centered, play-based pediatric occupational therapy throughout West Los Angeles, Ca, in the environments where children feel most comfortable; their homes, school and/or daycare.

If you got into pediatrics because you love the work and somewhere along the way it turned into paperwork, back to back sessions and a productivity number you can never quite hit, I get it. I built Thrive Pediatric Wellness because I wanted a place where therapists’ feel valued as family and have room to treat.

When I first started my career, I worked in a clinic and in-home. I loved the work. The families and coworkers, a lot of whom I still talk to. That’s where I learned that support works best when it fits into, real, everyday life.

Then I left that job to have my son. Becoming a mom was a lifelong dream and being a mom gave me a different type of empathy for parents that I didn’t have before.

When I went back to look for work, the jobs I found wanted set hours and not much give. I wanted to do drop offs and pick ups, be a room parent and read books in my kid’s classroom. I know I’m not the only therapist who feels this way. A lot of therapists I know feel the same, and end up either stepping away for years or missing things at home they can’t get back. We all know the years are long but the days are short.

So I built a practice where you don’t have to pick one.

Who we’re looking for

A passionate Pediatric OT who enjoys working with infants and toddlers, values family-centered care, and wants to build meaningful relationships through in-person in-home and community sessions within Los Angeles, Ca.

If this sounds like you, you’re a great fit!

  • Have Early Intervention Experience- 18+ months preferred

  • Are a licensed OTR/L with a Master’s or Doctorate in OT

  • Are reliable, flexible and collaborative

  • Have good communication skills

  • Have reliable transportation

  • CPR certified

  • Feeding therapy experience is a plus

  • We love our new grads and welcome you to apply. We will look at if you have fieldwork experience in early intervention.

  • The position will start off as part time, but has the opportunity to grow to full time. We are not looking for per diem at this time.

  • Yes, it is an unstructured mentorship based on a needs basis and caseload dependent.
